Hey people. I haven’t been up to much this summer, but I’m having fun in school and can’t wait to be back to challenge!

My book chat is about a really amazing book called The BFG. It is by an author named Roald Dahl. It is about a little british girl named Sophie, who gets captured by a Big Friendly Giant, or the BFG for short. When Sophie finds out that evil giants have been eating people, it’s up to her and the Big Friendly Giant to stop them. I’ve read the book many times and I really liked it. I think it is a must-read!

Hello, Blog-Readers. I’m in Austraila now.  As you can tell by the title, I have some interesting news. I patted a wombat!!! When we were camping a couple days ago, a really cool guy  I met took me looking for wombats one night because they were common in that area, and wombats are just awesome animals. He told me that wombats aren’t shy, they just like sleeping and grazing at dusk. We saw one in the parking lot and he started running right by me. As he ran by, i just reached down and petted him. Mr. Wombat was quite soft! Not many people get to even see a wombat, so I think I was very lucky!

I just can’t wait! I’m going to Australia! Tomorrow! Me and my family are going to visit family there for three whole weeks. Our flight leaves really late, so I have to sleep on the plane. We are flying with Air Canada. It is a non-stop flight from Vancouver to Sidney. That’s sixteen HOURS!!! I also get to see the Sydney Opera House and go to Bondi Beach. My house was a bit chaotic when we were packing, but I think we’re all ready to go. Koalas, Kangaroos, Platypus, Oh My!

I just can’t belive it! The torch came through the Comox Valley and I got to hold it!!! We made flags and waved them as the torch went by.  When the torch was inour school gym, there was an opportunity for anyone who wanted to  hold it and I did! It was probbably a once in a lifetime chance to see the torch real, and I thought it was pretty amazing!
